Despite the striker's inclusion of the brand in his Instagram bio, Nike has reaffirmed that their earlier statement on the 21-year-old is valid.

Mason Greenwood has not returned to Nike as a sponsored player, despite having added the kit manufacturer to his Instagram account.

Nike has verified to Mirror Football that their prior statement on the 21-year-old is still valid.

It read: “Mason Greenwood is no longer a Nike athlete.”
