According to Reportminds Blog, the winger will travel to Turkey before joining Galatasaray.
A €35 million release clause has been confirmed for Zaniolo's signature, according to sports journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Together with his agent George Gardi, Zaniolo got ready to fly to Istanbul to finalize his transfer to Galatasaray.
Following his removal from Jose Mourinho's squad list, Fenerbahce and rival Galatasaray reportedly offered the player a way out of his Roma hell.
The 23-year-old, who can play on the wing or as a central playmaker, will reportedly cost Galatasaray £18 million (€22 million).
Even though Roma won't be able to replace the player, Galatasaray can because the winter transfer window is still open for Super Lig clubs until February 8.
However, his new contract with the Turkish team will have a £31 million (€35 million) release clause, which would allow him to leave before his deal in Istanbul expires.
Zaniolo went through a dramatic transfer window in January during which he was on the verge of joining Bournemouth, but he refused to meet the delegation that the Cherries sent to negotiate with him.
The midfielder, who joined from Serie A rivals Inter in 2018, has played in 128 games during his four and a half years in the Italian capital and has contributed 24 goals and 18 assists.
