On February 28, in the Okene region of the state, Rotimi Ajayi, the INEC returning officer for the Kogi central senatorial district, announced the outcome.
According to Ajayi, Sadiku-Ohere defeated Natasha, who received 51,763 votes, by receiving 52,132 votes.
The announcement comes after Akpoti-Uduaghan accused the Kogi government of attempting to deny voters in the state their right to vote by excavating a road near Ihima, Okehi LGA, prior to the election.
