Hazard has had 18 setbacks since moving to Real from Chelsea in 2019 for a club-record $150 million price.

Before revealing how much time the winger will spend on the sidelines, Real Madrid stated that he will be "under observation."

Real issued the following statement: "After the tests carried out today on Eden Hazard by Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with patellar tendinosis in his left knee and is under observation."

Hazard was regarded as one of the top players in the world after scoring 110 goals and assisting 92 times in 352 games for Chelsea.

The 32-year-old was also instrumental in Belgium's spectacular World Cup campaign, in which they finished third.

However, since arriving from Chelsea four years ago, the striker has failed to live up to expectations at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Eden Hazard has only scored seven goals and provided 11 assists in 73 games.

The Belgium international's time at Real Madrid has been hampered by a slew of ailments.

Eden Hazard sustained a hamstring strain, a bruised ankle, a hairline break, a fibula fissure, and an undisclosed knock during his first season.

After that, the former Chelsea player suffered two unidentified knocks, four separate muscle injuries, and a fight against COVID-19 in the 2020-2021 season.

Hazard endured a hamstring injury, muscle issues, stomach influenza, and a fibula fissure last season.

Hazard's injury woes have continued this season, with an ankle ailment in January and a knee knock just lately.

This season, the striker has only one goal and one assist in seven games across all competitions.

His contract expires in 2024. It's uncertain if Real  Madrid will be willing to extend the contract of the forward.
