Ahmet Eyup Turkaslan, their goalkeeper, was killed in a 7.8-magnitude earthquake, according to Turkish club Yeni Matalyaspor.

Ahmet Eyup Turkaslan, a goalkeeper for Turkish second-division team Yeni Matalyaspor, died at the age of 28 following the country's 7.8-magnitude earthquake.
On Sunday, February 5, while families were still asleep, a devastating earthquake struck both Turkey and Syria.
Since Turkaslan was found dead on Tuesday after being reported missing on Monday, the team has paid tribute to their keeper.
Thousands more people have been injured, and at least 5,100 people have died as a result of the natural disaster in Turkey and Syria.
As far away as Egypt, Lebanon, and the island of Cyprus, tremors could be heard.
Turkaslan hadn't played for the team in a league match, but he had made two appearances in the Turkish Cup (Ziraat Turkiye Kupasi) this year.
'Our goalkeeper, Ahmet Eyup Turkaslan, lost his life after being under the collapse of the earthquake. Rest in peace,' the club tweeted. 'We will not forget you, beautiful person.'
