The West London side completed the signing of the Argentine midfielder for British record fee from Benfica in the just concluded January transfer window.
It was recalled that Joao Felix was among Chelsea's signings in the window, arriving on season loan from Atletico Madrid.
Despite Chelsea owner Todd Boehly splashing the Chas during the transfer, Chelsea are still struggling for wins in the Premier League.
The Blues are still in 10th position in the current Premier League table.
Speaking to the Times, Enzo Fernandez said that Felix has been a good friend both on and off the pitch.
"Joao Felix's a great player. Fantastic player. He’s a key player for us, let’s hope Chelsea can do all they can to keep hold of him in June", tells The Times.
The world cup winner with Argentina also praised the football ability of Felix who played for Portugal at the Qatar World Cup.
Fernandez added: "Joao called me when I got here to ask if he could be of any help - and it helps on the field".
Meanwhile, Chelsea will be back in action this weekend when they face their London rival. The Blues will play Tottenham Hotspur later on Sunday in the derby.
