Xavi Hernandez is preparing for Barcelona clash with Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey in Thursday night.
The Blaugrana will face their rival in the El Clásico in the mid week in a cup competition with reports suggesting that likes of Robert Lewandowski, Ansu Fati and Pedri will miss the game.
Injury continues to disrupt Barcelona's Copa del Rey preparations for Thursday's matchup with bitter rivals Real Madrid.
The giants of Catalonia lost to Almeria 1-0 over the weekend, just three days after Manchester United knocked them out of the Europa League.
Fortunately, Real Madrid did not suffer a setback in the race for the La Liga title as they were held to a 1-1 draw by rivals Atletico Madrid on Saturday. However, Robert Lewandowski's hamstring injury was confirmed, which brought bad news for Xavi.
As Barca prepare to face Real in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final match at the Santiago Bernabeu, the 34-year-old was absent from training on Tuesday.
The sessions were also missed by Ousmane Dembele and Pedri, as well as young winger Ansu Fati, who is still plagued by injuries.
