Police Officers seize laminated INEC materials after arresting a 53-year-old woman.
A 53-year-old woman was detained by the Lagos State Police Command after being reportedly caught in possession of laminated election documents.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command's spokesman, verified this to reporters on Friday, March 17, 2023.
According to the PPRO, the suspect was apprehended on Thursday at 4 p.m. at Candos Road, Baruwa in the Iyana-Ipaja neighborhood of Lagos.
According to Hundeyin, the suspect was detained while making photocopies inside a business center.
"She was arrested with 550 different INEC materials. The laptop she used in printing the materials has been recovered and she couldn’t give a good account of how she came in possession of the materials. The case has been transferred to State CID Yaba for further investigation." he said
