Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, and his wife Dolapo Osinbajo arrived today in Ikenne, Ogun State, the hometown of the vice president.
In a statement posted on social media, Laolu Akande, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Publicity, said.
Before Saturday's gubernatorial and state assembly elections, it was reported that Osinbajo arrived in his birthplace without incident.
Osinbajo met with representatives of the Ikenne Local Government and some of its leaders at the town's Legacy Centre shortly after his arrival.
Members of the APC's leadership that met with the Vice President included Ward Chairmen and Local Government Councilors as well as Mrs. Adewunmi Onanuga, who represents the Remo Federal Constituency. Kunle Orelaja, Niran Salau, and Segun Awomuti are the Ward Chairmen, while Idowu Matonmi and Kayode Shodiyan are the LG Councilors.
