Fans reacts to Manuel Akanji pre match image during Man City's line up against Crystal Palace

The pre-game image from Sky Sports of Manuel Akanji has caused a lot of reactions from supporters online.

City travelled to the Selhurst Park on Saturday late evening game in Premier League, where they recorded 1-0 win. 

Erling Haaland scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot to help Pep Guardiola side close the gap between themselves and table toppers, Arsenal. 

Recall that Akanji transferred from Borussia Dortmund to the Blues in September of last year for a reported £15 million.

One of the highlights of the match was the pre match line up Shared by popular sports TV station, SkySports. 

During their Premier League matchup against Crystal Palace, Pep Guardiola started Nathan Ake, John Stones, Ruben Dias, and Akanji at the back.

However when announcing the starting lineups before to kickoff, Sky Sports doesn't seem to have a visual for the Swiss defender.

The conclusion may be drawn from the player's image on the lineup graphic for today's league game at Selhurst Park.

Social media went into frenzy as Sky Sports revealed Man City's starting lineup, which includes Akanji's face allegedly found on Bernardo Silva's body.

One Twitter user wrote: "Akanji's picture on the Sky Sports Line-Up," accompanied with a a loudly crying face emoji.

A second wrote: "Please tell me someone has a picture of Akanji on the Sky Sports lineup graphic."

A third joked: "Nah man, why does @SkySports keep doing Manuel Akanji durty???"

A fourth commented: "WHAT WAS THAT FOR AKANJI SKY SPORTS."

A fifth said: "He is Bernardo Akanji."
