As VAR disallowed Mykhailo Mudryk's first goal for Chelsea, Chelsea fans consoled him online. The 22-year-old has shown flashes of brilliance since joining the Blues, but since he had little experience playing, he had to gradually develop his match fitness.
Mudryk has been eager to score his first goal for the team, and if it weren't for being offside, he nearly did. Just Danny Ward stood between the Ukraine international and Enzo Fernandez and the Leicester City defense.
Prior to putting the ball in the bottom left corner, he sprinted toward the goal. After celebrating by wheeling off, Mudryk imitated Didier Drogba by doing a knee slide at the corner flag.
A few seconds later, he was determined to be offside, and his goal was disallowed. The child was swiftly consoled by Chelsea supporters on social media; fortunately for Mudryk, he later provided the assist for Mateo Kovacic's superbly taken volley.
