Mikel Arteta has disclosed the superstition he does anytime Arsenal is on a winning streak.
The Spanish tactician doesn't have any club tracksuits in his matchday gear since he likes to look professional on the sidelines.
Arteta, 40, is a manager who enjoys mixing style whenever he steps on the touchline. He has admitted that he will stick with a particular look if he believes it will bring Arsenal luck during a run of successful results.
According to him, he doesn't change his outfit whenever his Gunners are on a winning run.
Arteta has told The Telegraph: “I am a very methodical, routine person. When we are winning, I don't like to change my clothes, I like to maintain exactly the same jumper, trousers and shoes as before. If we lose, I change to something different.”
Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal team are five points clear at the top of the Premier League table with 60 points.
The Gunners extended the gap with 4-0 win over Everton on Wednesday night, two goals from Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard made sure three point were secured.
Arteta added on filling a demanding role in north London: “They've given me the opportunity to do what I love most, in the club that I absolutely love, respect and admire. I love what I do, every day. So when I have some doubts, or feel pressure, I just come back to that: how do you feel about what you do? And it doesn't get any better than this.”
This weekend, Arsenal will host Bournemouth at the Emirates stadium on Saturday evening.
