Micah Richards says Antony Santos didn't do his own work "defensively" against Liverpool

Following Manchester United's 7-0 loss to Liverpool in the Premier League, former Manchester City defender Micah Richards criticized winger Antony.

“There was no communication between Dalot and Antony,” Richards told Match of the Day 2.

“At times, it was like they were playing with ten men because Antony wasn’t doing his work at all down that side.

"I don’t know if it was tactical, Antony’s positioning… I was confused at what he was doing.

According to Richards, Antony did not perform as expected against Liverpool, and the Brazilian's Sunday performance confused him.

The Reds defeated Erik ten Hag's team at Anfield with a goal from Roberto Frimino and a brace from each of Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, and Mohamed Salah.

He added: “I don’t know if it was him being lazy or the manager told him to stay up for counter-attacks.

“If I am Dalot, I would be screaming at [Antony] to come and help me.”
