Luis de la Fuente, the new manager of Spain, has unveiled his much-awaited starting lineup for the forthcoming European qualifiers against Scotland and Norway.
De la Fuente's contentious decision to exclude Sergio Ramos out of the team already put him at a disadvantage with the Spanish media.
Iago Aspas was a popular candidate for inclusion in De la Fuente's team, while Joselu Mato, the current Zarra captain, has received his first call-up.
Dani Carvajal, Dani Ceballos, and Nacho Fernandez all made the team, giving Real Madrid a stronger presence. Alejandro Balde, Pedri, and Gavi are on the roster for Barcelona, but Jordi Alba and Eric Garcia are absent, while Sergio Busquets is not present for the first time in a number of years due to injury.
