Seven Players who wanted Julian Nagelsmann sacked as Bayern Munich coach

There are rumors that the team is divided following the club's firing of Julian Nagelsmann, which indicates that everything is not well at Bayern Munich.

Despite being one point off the top of the Bundesliga standings and winning all eight of their Champions League games this season, the 35-year-old was mercilessly fired on Friday.

One day later, Thomas Tuchel was revealed as Bayern's next manager, according to rumours that the club had already reached an agreement with the former Chelsea manager before Nagelsmann was formally fired.

Nevertheless, reports indicate that the choice could be more detrimental than beneficial, with assertions from the German daily BILD that "pro and anti-Nagelsmann camps" have developed within the locker room.

Seven players allegedly wanted Nagelsmann to leave Bayern Munich, despite the support of other influential people.

According to reports, Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich opposed Nagelsmann because goalkeeping coach Tony Tapalovic was fired after almost 12 years with the team.

Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala, Joao Cancelo, and summer acquisition Sadio Mane reportedly competed against Nagelsmann as well.

The players who reportedly supported Nagelsmann the most in the locker room were Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Matthijs De Ligt, Dayot Upamecano, and Benjamin Pavard.

Thomas Muller, who BILD claimed to be 'neutral' on how he felt about Nagelsmann, is the only player in the center of the divide.

Nagelsmann was enjoying the international holiday with his 30-year-old girlfriend Lena Wurzenberger while on a skiing trip in the Austrian Zillertal when he received word that he would soon be fired.

He cut short his skiing vacation and hurried back to Bavaria, where he learned his destiny.
Nagelsmann's resignation came as a huge shock since Bayern was still in the running for the league championship and the Champions League, where they had just easily defeated Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 on aggregate to go to the quarterfinals this month.

The youthful manager won two DFL Supercup medals and one Bundesliga championship while leading the German team.

After firing Nagelsmann, Bayern Munich may be required to pay an overall package of 70 million euros (£62 million), according to the German publication BILD. This is because the head coach is reportedly paid around nine million euros (£8 million) year.
