Following an injury setback, Arsenal star Eddie Nketiah posted a message on social media.

Gunners manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Nketiah has been playing through injury for a number of games, but he did not play in Saturday's 3-2 victory over Bournemouth.

That raised concerns about a new issue for the forward, who is now Arsenal's lead striker in place of Gabriel Jesus while the Brazilian recovers from knee surgery.

According to The Evening Standard, Nketiah suffered an ankle injury during the Bournemouth match, and the 23-year-old is likely to miss Thursday's Europa League match against Sporting Lisbon. Additionally, he is said to be a question for Sunday's Premier League match against Fulham.

Nketiah posted a picture of himself and the team celebrating a goal at the Emirates Stadium to Instagram with the following caption:

In the meantime, Leandro Trossard, who suffered a groin injury in the victory over Bournemouth, is expected to be out for two weeks. It has been claimed that the club is "optimistic" that the Belgian is not seriously injured.

Arsenal maintains hope that Gabriel Jesus will return in time for the final Premier League game before the break.

On March 19, Arsenal faces Crystal Palace.

Gabriel Jesus has not played for Arsenal since the World Cup because he injured his medial collateral ligament (MCL) in Brazil's final group stage match on December 1 against Cameroon.
