Martin Odegaard, the captain of Arsenal, has said that Mikel Arteta and his coaching staff truly astonished him when he initially joined the team.
In January 2021, the Norwegian first joined the Gunners on loan from Real Madrid. The next summer, they made that change official, and ever since then, he has excelled for them as a player.
Odegaard, who is now the club captain and among the top performers in the Premier League, was questioned about Arteta and his coaching. The 24-year-old stated that the Gunners manager's skill level astounded him.
After taking over as the Gunners' manager in December 2019, the Spaniard won the FA Cup eight months later. He has experienced a lot since then, but what he has accomplished this season is nothing short of extraordinary.
Eight points ahead of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League standings is Arsenal. They may end up winning the Premier League championship this season, and Arteta and his coaching team are to be commended for that.
When questioned about Arteta and company at Arsenal, Odegaard said the Norwegian was astounded.
He told TV 2 in Norway: “It has surprised me, actually. How detail-oriented he and the whole team are.
“I’ve never encountered anything like it, with people who see football that way and who see details as specifically as he does. It can be simple little things or more big things. It’s extremely detailed and a lot of little things we talk about, watching videos after every game and all that.
“It’s fun working with him and the team. It works.”
