For the journey to the Etihad Stadium, where they'll face an in-form Man City team that must now be the favorite to win the Premier League title, the Gunners may be without two of their most crucial players.
It's not ideal that Arteta seems to be ready to start this match without both Xhaka and Saliba since a victory for City against Arsenal would almost certainly ruin the Gunners' championship chances.
Saliba has been out for some time and has been much missed, but Xhaka's problem is more recent, but it seems neither of them are doing well right now.
Although report suggest that Saliba won't be available for the trip to Manchester City but there's a chance that Xhaka will be fit.
The Swizz midfielder missed Arsenal's draw with Southampton last week due to an illness.
As quoted by football journalist, Chris Watts:
Arteta on Saliba: "Not been a real improvement unfortunately on him, so we are still waiting."
On Xhaka: "Hopefully he will be able to train today. He’s still a doubt."
