The Egypt international traveled to Saudi Arabia's Holy City of Mecca to observe Ramadan among millions of Muslim devotees all around the globe.
After a knee injury, Mohamed Elneny has been sidelined at Arsenal and will miss the remainder of the Premier League season.
He had successful knee surgery in January, but he will need some time to recover before joining the team again the following year.
He had time during his period of inactivity to go to Mecca to observe Ramadan.
Elneny tweeted a photo of himself visiting the Grand Mosque in front of the Holy Temple while beaming with joy.
He's been to the Holy City before, so this is not his first visit. Elneny also traveled to the Holy City in 2019 before returning there in 2021.
He has now made his third trip to the City as a fervent Islam adherent.
Elneny was born and reared in Egypt, a country where Islam is practiced in large numbers. In addition to his bravery on the pitch, Elneny is quite open about his spirituality and religious beliefs.
The Arsenal player observes Ramadan by paying attention to his religion and joining Muslims who observe the month-long fast and prayer period.
