Harry Redknapp has hinted that Harry Kane may take the risky decision to quit Tottenham and go to another Premier League team across London.

The England captain's current contract expires in the summer of 2024, and if Kane doesn't sign a new one before then, Spurs run the possibility of losing him for nothing.

With that in mind, Kane may eventually leave the club this summer in pursuit of chances to win a championship, ending a 19-year stay on the club's roster.

Redknapp thinks that Kane may be persuaded to join Tottenham's vengeful cross-city rivals Chelsea if an offer were to come through.

According to the former Spurs boss, Kane is a "family man" who would prefer to remain near to his current residence than having to move across the nation or overseas.

Kane has apparently been pondering leaving North London for some time. He also reportedly came very close to joining Manchester City in 2021, but the deal fell through.

Additionally, it has been widely rumored that Manchester United is interested in making a contract offer to England's all-time top scorer.

Kane has offers from other countries as well, and Bayern Munich is still looking for a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski at the Allianz Arena.

But Redknapp thinks Kane would reject each of those offers if he had the choice to stay in London with his expanding family.

'It will be interesting if Pochettino goes to Chelsea,' Redknapp told Beyond the Pitch podcast. But, he confessed that the move would be an enticing one for Kane.

He continued: 'That wouldn't go down well with the Tottenham fans at all that's for sure. It's a great move for him and I think he's [Harry Kane] building a house in that area.

'He's a family man and he'd be happier not moving to the north of England or wherever he'd have to go.'
