Thomas Tuchel plan to sign Casemiro in summer as German tactician wants to rebuild Bayern Munich's midfield

Casemiro, a midfielder for Manchester United, has unexpectedly become Thomas Tuchel's priority for a summer move to Bayern Munich.

The Brazilian joined Erik ten Hag's team at Old Trafford last summer for £70 million from Real Madrid, and he has since established himself as a key player. In March, the Brazilian helped his new team win the Carabao Cup and establish a good position in the Champions League qualifying battle.

Prior to the summer transfer window, Casemiro is regarded as one of United's most crucial players despite receiving two red cards in 2023 alone. He serves as the ideal anchor in the middle of the field to assist Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes, two of the team's best players.

Tuchel at Bayern Munich doesn't seem to have been deterred by the Brazilian international's importance to the Red Devils, as the German is said to be seeing him as a priority target ahead of his summer reconstruction in Bavaria.

Julian Nagelsmann, an ex-manager of Bayern Munich who was viciously fired by the team before to their Champions League loss to Manchester City earlier this month, was replaced by Tuchel.

The former Chelsea manager is eager to integrate experienced leaders into his squad for the next campaign since he inherited an unruly group, and Casemiro has been identified as a top transfer target, according to the German publication Kicker.

Bayern is said to be looking for a new defensive midfielder, and Tuchel allegedly wants to add players from the Premier League to his roster.

Tuchel is said to want to create a double pivot to strengthen the back line and provide Joshua Kimmich with more defensive cover in the center of the field.

Three La Liga championships and five Champions League medals were among Casemiro's many awards from his time at the Bernabeu before he joined Manchester United.

His trophy-laden career began right away when he scored in United's victory against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final, ending their six-year trophy drought.
