Jamie Carragher leaves Micah Richards in tears with his pronunciation of "Internazionale" during an interview with AC Milan player Rafael Leao

During a post-game interview with AC Milan striker Rafael Leao, Jamie Carragher's terrible Italian accent failed to let the Portuguese international hear him, which had the other commentators in stitches.
After Carragher's line of inquiry had caused Micah Richards and Thierry Henry to break out in fits of laughter and left Leao clueless, CBS Sports anchor Kate Abdo eventually had to step in.

After the interview was over, the Mail Sport writer began to cry as he made fun of his colleague's "broken English" that he had used to communicate.

The presenter began by congratulating Leao on Milan's 2-1 overall triumph against Serie A leaders Napoli in the Champions League quarterfinal on Tuesday night.

'Inter Milan are in the other final, would you like that – a big semi-final with your biggest rivals?' Carragher began, speaking slowly for the benefit of the young star

However, he quickly found himself in a pickle as his interview subject became more and more confused by what he was saying. It was Carragher's exaggerated pseudo-Italian pronunciation of Inter's full name - Internazionale - that, however, threw his fellow commentators over the edge as he coiled up to ask the same question a second time.

After Leao failed to understand him a first time, Carragher joked that his co-hosts 'have the same problem', and Henry made his apologies for his colleague, saying, 'he's a Scouser, sorry, it's difficult.'
As Carragher made the effort, leaving Leao farther in the dark than he began, Richards and Henry both burst into laughing.

Abdo quickly stepped in to ask if 'Inter is the team you want in the semi-finals?'

Within moments, Leao understood, answering as Richards started to weep in the studio, saying that due to the 'passion' felt by both teams, the atmosphere would be 'crazy in Milan'.

As she bid the player goodbye, Abdo teased the Liverpool legend, saying that he now understands 'how all of America feels when Jamie Carragher talks.

'They have similar problems understanding his accent'.
Cheeks wet with tears, the former Manchester City defender called out Carragher's 'broken English' and asked: 'If [Leao] doesn't understand Inter, how's he going to understand Internazionale?'

After first standing his ground by stating that Internazionale is the Milanese club's 'proper name', Carragher admitted: 'It was worth a try.'

Richards then mocked how Carragher had put on an accent when speaking English to the 23-year-old, accusing him of communicating in true Brit-abroad style
