The team led by Mikel Arteta is getting ready for their Premier League matchup with Southampton on Friday.
If you remember, Arsenal gave up a two-goal lead in their last-weekend 2-2 draw with West Ham United.
In the meanwhile, Mikel Arteta will be hoping that his club can defeat Southampton and increase their advantage at the top of the Premier League standings.
Sol Campbell, a retired English football player, sat on the sidelines for Friday night's game against Southampton.
Before meeting with manager Mikel Arteta and sporting director Edu, Campbell took a photo with Arsenal player Bukayo Saka.
Who is Sol Campbell?
Former professional center-back Sol Campbell played football for England. On September 18, 1974, he was born in Plaistow, London, England.
At Tottenham Hotspur, where he played for nine years and won the Football League Cup in 1999, Campbell began his professional football career in 1992. He controversially left Spurs for Arsenal in 2001 and later played a crucial role in the squad that won two FA Cups and two Premier League championships.
Campbell also had success on the international stage, gaining 73 caps for England and playing for his nation at three major competitions: the 1998, 2002, and 2000 Euros.
After his playing career came to an end, Campbell switched to coaching and served as Macclesfield Town's assistant manager in 2019 before taking on his first management position at Southend United later that year. Nevertheless, he departed the team in June 2020 by mutual agreement after they were demoted from League One.
