For the first time since Graham Potter's dismissal as manager, Chelsea players showed up for practice on Monday.

The Blues were mired in a miserable 11th place in the Premier League on Sunday evening, less than seven months after Potter took over as manager.
The club's dreadful 2-0 loss to Aston Villa on Saturday was the tipping point, with the former Brighton manager's 12 victories in his 31 games in charge serving as the straw that broke the camel's back.

A few members of the first team squad were spotted arriving for training on Monday afternoon, less than 24 hours after the decision, which reportedly "stunned" players. Interim manager Bruno Saltor will be in charge of the training sessions.

When he arrived, Kai Havertz appeared to be lost in thought. Marc Cucurella and Mykhailo Mudryk, who both joined the Blues this season, also appeared to be in a bad mood.

Other Chelsea players who appeared dejected upon arrival at Cobham included Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Raheem Sterling, and Ben Chilwell.

Mason Mount, whose future at the team is uncertain because he has not extended his contract, which expires next summer, watched as cameras snapped pictures of him in his car.

Raheem Sterling arrived with a dejected expression, while Kepa, who had previously served as Potter's first choice goalkeeper, was donning sunglasses.

On Saturday against Aston Villa, midfielder N'Golo Kante made his injury comeback after an eight-month absence. This was good news for the team, but the Frenchman appeared giddy as he pulled up in his car.
