Gerard Pique father sends Shakira out of their mansion in Barcelona following break up with his son

Despite the fact that it has subsided, the fallout from Gerard Pique's split from Colombian-Lebanese pop star Shakira is still ongoing.

The famous singer wrote a farewell message on Instagram and informed her followers that she was leaving to find stability for her kids. She also made a subtle dig at her ex-boyfriend by thanking Barcelona and her Spanish fans for teaching her that friendship endures longer than love.

Shakira's decision to leave Barcelona is in part motivated by her perception that she is being ejected from her residence. The father of Gerard Pique, Joan, allegedly served Shakira with an eviction notice from their mansion outside of Barcelona, according to a report in Diario AS that was based on a La Vanguardia article. When the couple reached a separation agreement, the property passed into his hands.

By the end of April, Shakira must vacate the mansion or face a sizable fine, according to a letter Joan Pique sent to her. Shakira is reportedly permanently relocating to Miami.
