Pep Guardiola set to sign Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea as player's agent arrives in London for contract talk

Mateo Kovacic, a midfielder for Chelsea, is allegedly in negotiations with Manchester City about a possible long-term transfer during the summer transfer window.

Since joining Chelsea from Real Madrid, first on loan and then permanently for £40 million in 2019, Kovacic has been a key player for the team.

The 28-year-old, whose current Chelsea contract has 14 months remaining, has so far assisted the Blues in winning a total of four championships.

Kovacic's departure from Chelsea has been rumored. Earlier this season, teams like Manchester United and AC Milan were said to be interested in signing the former Real Madrid star.

In preparation for a prospective summer transfer, Kovacic's entourage is reportedly in London having preliminary talks with Manchester City.
