Scott Carson has extended his contract with City by one year, keeping him with the team until the summer of 2024.
The 37-year-old first joined the Club in 2019 on loan, staying with them till the completion of the 2020–21 campaign.
He joined City free of charge when his contract with Derby County expired in 2021.
The former England international has now decided to stay at the Etihad Stadium for a further 12 months.
Carson, who made his professional debut for Leeds United in January 2004 at the age of 18, will now play in his 20th season as a professional.
Prior to making a second appearance with Sporting CP in the Champions League round of 16 second leg last season, the seasoned goalkeeper made his debut for City in the May 2021 triumph against Newcastle United.
