Diego Simeone, the manager of Atletico Madrid, visited his son Giovanni Simeone in Naples this weekend since Los Colchoneros did not have a league game this weekend.
Simeone senior was there for Napoli's 1-0 victory against Fiorentina. Simeone junior just assisted Napoli in winning their first Scudetto in 33 years, the first time since Diego Maradona was a member of the team. Giovanni replaced Victor Osimhen for the last 12 minutes of play.
El Cholo was seen with Napoli President Aurelio de Laurentiis and Napoli Coach Luciano Spalletti before to the game before joining the rest of the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona spectators in the bleachers to watch.
He would then stay around for part of the boisterous celebrations in Naples that would take place in the hours that followed their triumph.
The other two sons of Simeone are still active in Spanish football. While Giuliano is on loan from Atletico Madrid to Real Zaragoza, Gianluca now plays for Xerez.
