Ruud van Nistelrooy, a former striker for Manchester United, has resigned as the head coach of PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands effective immediately.
The former Netherlands international left the club, saying he no longer felt like he had everyone's support there. Just before the commencement of this season, he signed a three-year deal.

After making an impression in PSV's junior levels for a number of years, Ruud van Nistelrooy was offered the position. He has worked with the club's under-17 and under-19 teams separately.

Van Nistelrooy, who played for United for five years and scored 150 goals in 219 games, is said to have departed the team with only one regular-season Eredivisie match left to play.

PSV is presently second in the standings and just needs a point against AZ Alkmaar on the last day of the campaign to secure that spot. Feyenoord has already claimed victory in this contest.
