34 years old Barcelona defender agrees to terminate his contract with the La Liga champions

Barcelona and Jordi Alba have mutually decided to end his contract early this season, which means he will go this summer.

After almost ten years at Camp Nou, the 34-year-old reportedly opted to terminate his contract with Barcelona. 

Alba, 34, a Valencia native who joined the team in 2012, has won six La Liga championships, five Copa del Rey medals, and the 2015 Champions League.

He played in 458 matches for the Catalan club, including 29 in La Liga championship season.

Alba, one of the club's the most earners, is said to have made the decision to leave Barcelona in an effort to help them out financially.
