Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has said that when he inevitably departs from the organization, he wants to leave positive memories behind.
Unai Emery's successor, Arteta, was named permanent leader in December 2019.
For the Gunners, the Spaniard won the FA Cup and the Community Shield in his debut season.
Arsenal came in ninth over his first two full seasons. They just lost out on a top-four spot to rivals Tottenham the previous season.
Despite dominating the Premier League for the most of the 2022–2023 season, Arteta's team seems to be losing the championship to Manchester City.
“The moment I leave this door one day and I look back and I come here, I will say we had good times.
“You know, it was enjoyment working here.
“It was enjoyment, it was challenging, it was inspiring, and it was worth all the sacrifices that we make in our lives to put everything that we can to improve the club. That’s for me what it’s about,” Arteta told Sky Sports.
