Ogunleye Gbenga Moses, a young man who just graduated from the philosophy department at Adekunle Ajasin University in Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), was discovered dead in his room in a nearby dormitory.
The Tribune reports that Gbenga, also known as Pablo, supposedly passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from what may have been food poisoning.
According to reports, the deceased was anticipating his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) call-up letter.
The magazine was informed by sources that Gbenga and his girlfriend complained of food sickness on May 5 after dining at an unnamed eatery in Akungba. They received care at the Aduloju Hospital in Iwaro before being released.
The source said that when Gbenga was not seen in the morning, they broke into his room and discovered him dead inside.
Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Olusegun Akanbi, who confirmed Gbenga’s death, said;
“The Head of the Department of Philosophy just called me and it was discovered that he passed on this morning, and his parents had already come.” Akanbi said.
