Ghana defeated Nigeria's Falconets on penalties in the championship game of the first U-20 WAFU B competition on Saturday in Kumasi.
After normal time concluded with a score of 1-1, the game was decided on penalties, which Ghana won 3-1.
After Stella Nyamekye converted a penalty kick in the 39th minute, Ghana finally broke the scoreless tie.
Flourish Sabastine gave the Falconets an equalizer with four minutes remaining.
When there were no more goals scored, the game proceeded to penalties, where Ghana won.
Burkina Faso defeated Benin Republic 2-1 in the earlier Saturday match for third place.
