In light of reports linking him to Real Madrid of Spain, Alphonso Davies has intimated he is dissatisfied with his status at Bayern Munich.
The Canadian defender joined the Bundesliga squad in 2019 after leaving his home side, the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Transfer rumors have been sparked by his accomplishments, including winning five German league championships and the Champions League in 2020.

And Davies has now claimed that despite being'stuck' at left-back, Bayern signed him to take Arjen Robben's position in the attack.

'I was signed to replace Arjen Robben and when David Alaba got injured, I was then used as a full-back. And now, three, four years later, I'm stuck there,' he said speaking on the Say Less podcast.

Robben left Bayern Munich in 2019, and players like Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane have since taken his spot, with Davies now being the preferred left-back.

German champions are currently bound to a Canadian until 2025. Real Madrid has been linked to him, but they would like to wait until after the current season when he will only have one year remaining on his contract.

In the last four years, Davies has appeared in over 106 games for Bayern Munich and scored six goals.

He has also made 39 appearances and scored 13 goals while wearing the national team of Canada.
