Punch reports that Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa recently made an interesting revelation about the cost of Premium Motor Spirit at his fuelling station in Kano.
He announced with pride that the cost per liter has dropped from 620 to 580 naira on his verified Twitter profile. When they learned of this news, Nigerians were ecstatic and posted about it on social media.
An inquisitive Twitter user questioned Musa on how it was feasible to have a lower pricing in Kano than in Lagos. The only thing Musa said in response was, "That is what I decided to sell mine for."
Musa made this remark shortly thereafter the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited increased the cost of gasoline at the pump to 617 naira per liter. The football player made the choice to reduce the price at his station in an attempt to lessen the state's car owners' financial burden.
Musa's kind act was quickly seen by drivers, and Usman Muhammad made a point of thanking Musa after filling up his car
Muhammad stated, "It's a good development; I can now have some money with me instead of purchasing at a higher cost."
