Following months of rumors that Pulisic would leave Chelsea during the transfer window before the World Cup last year, the American number 10 finalized a $25 million transfer from West London to Milan.
After only 25 minutes of play, the twenty-four-year-old American made his arrival known by contributing an assist on center back Fikayo Tomori's close-range header after taking the corner kick.
Tomori, a former Chelsea player, was a teammate of Pulisic while Frank Lampard was in charge of Stanford Bridge for the first time in 2019.
Pulisic played down the left side of the field, where he initiated the attack, for the majority of the game, although he was sometimes spotted drifting to the opposite side and played down the middle of midfield.
In addition with the early assist, Pulisic also made several successful dribbles to slip through opponents and exceptionally wrestled off Madrid defender Eder Militao to win the ball back, though he was called for a foul as he attempted to start the counterattack because a wayward arm struck the defender's face.
Real Madrid were able to equalize the game owing to two fast goals from midfielder Frederico Valverde after AC Milan had taken a 2-0 lead into halftime. Madrid went on to defeat the opponent 3-2.
When Madrid made a large group replacement to switch out six players on the pitch, Pulisic continued to play until the 70th minute of play.
Despite appearing excellent in his much awaited debut at the iconic Rose Bowl stadium in California, Pulisic's debut was not the night's most significant event.
