After making her senior and professional debuts for her nation of Colombia at the age of 15, the Colombian sensation Linda Caicedo was told she had ovarian cancer.

She moved to Real Madrid in February at the age of only 18 years old.
In the 30th minute, Manuela Vanegas' goal-bound attempt was handled by Shim Seo-yeon in the penalty area, giving the Colombians the advantage. Catalina Usme scored from the penalty spot, fooling Yoon Young-geul in the South Korean goal. Her shot went to the left of the goal.

Caicedo scored after making a quick move across the middle of the field, cutting in from the left before curling a shot from the outside of the box. Her shot seemed to be too central for Yoon to handle, but the goalkeeper misjudged her stance and instead mishandled it into the goal.
