FIFA has penalized Cristiano Ronaldo's team Al Nassr for a transfer dispute involving Ahmed Musa, the captain of the Super Eagles.
Al Nassr has been restricted from signing new players for the next Saudi Arabia Professional League campaign after failed to give Leicester City the sum that they owe them for the purchase of Musa.
Musa joined Al Nassr in 2018 after making an impression in Russia during the World Cup.
Al Nassr paid Leicester City €16.50 million to acquire Musa's services, but the Saudi Pro League team has not made the further payments despite a ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) requiring them to.
The Foxes received a €460,000 performance-based add-on payment from Al-Nassr.
FIFA has now prohibited the Saudi Arabian powerhouse from adding new players before the new season due to their refusal to abide by the CAS verdict.
