Onazi, a former Super Eagles midfielder, has joined Kitchee SC in China

Ogenyi Onazi, a former Super Eagles midfielder, has signed with Chinese club Kitchee SC.

Onazi was one of the club's five new additions that were introduced on Wednesday.

Alex Chu, the head coach, acknowledged his love for the Nigerian player, stating that his seasoned profile will help Kitchee greatly in their pursuit of the AFC Champions League.

The 30-year-old last competed for Al-Adalah, a Saudi Arabian team.

The midfielder from Nigeria has also represented teams from Italy, Turkey, and Lithuania.

Onazi was a member of the Super Eagles squad that triumphed in South Africa's 2013 African Cup of Nations.

He was also a member of the team that traveled to Russia at the FIFA World Cup in 2018.
