Gareth Bale, a former Real Madrid winger, claims that Micah Richards, a former Manchester City player, is the most challenging right-back he has encountered in his glittering footballing career.
Bale faced some of the finest defenders in the world when playing for Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid, respectively.
The only right-back that stood out for the Welsh legend was Richards.
Bale responded to the Times through GOAL when asked to identify the hardest right-back he faced during his playing career:“The hardest right back I played against was Micah Richards.
“I was a bit quicker, but he was an athlete, so strong and holding.”
