Youri Tielemans, who just joined Aston Villa from Leicester City, has given his reasons for leaving the Premier League team.
On Saturday morning, Aston Villa officially announced the free-agent acquisition of Tielemans from Leicester.
The Belgian international revealed his reasoning for joining Aston Villa, claiming that club boss Unai Emery persuaded him to do so.
Tielemans said at his first interview after joining Villa: “When I had a few chats with the manager [Emery], his ambition, his passion and the way he led the team impressed me and made me decide to come to Aston Villa.
“It is a big club. I am really excited. I am really looking forward to it. I can’t wait to get started.”
