A collaborative effort involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the FBI resulted in the arrest of a notorious cyber criminal and his accomplice, who had been wanted by law enforcement agencies for a long time.
The two people are currently being held at the state Police headquarters, because they are being questioned by police.
The inquiry exposed their involvement in scamming American consumers of large quantities of money through a variety of internet frauds, including credit card fraud, Facebook scams, and hacking.
The female accused confessed to partaking in sacrifice rites in order to guarantee the effectiveness of their fraudulent activities in her declaration at the EFCC headquarters.
She revealed that they had progressed from traditional internet scams to occult activities, in which she had sacrificed her womb to increase her boyfriend's success in his criminal web businesses.
The arrest of these people was made possible because to the EFCC's careful intelligence gathering, which found significant proof of their alleged illicit activity. After the capture of them, the suspects were paraded in front of the EFCC offices in Lagos.
Their illicit operations were exposed when they pretending to be engineers and tricked an American client out of a large sum of money.
