The World Cup organized by FIFA in 2026 is scheduled to be the twenty-third FIFA World Cup. The tournament will be held from June 11 to July 19, 2026, and will be co-hosted by 16 cities from three North American countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States (United 2026).
CAF's 54 Member Associations will be grouped into nine(9) Groups, each with six(6) teams.
In a home-away round-robin style, each team will play all other teams in their Group twice. That means each side will play ten games in total, five at home and five away.
CAF has been given a total of ten (10) teams, including nine (9) qualifying straight and one going to a Regional Play-off competition.
Each of the four best the runners-up will compete in this Play-off event, with the victor moving on to compete against six additional teams from various Confederations for a berth in the United 2026.
Match Days One and Two will be held between November 13 and 21, 2023.
