The Hungarian international's €70 million release clause in his contract with RB Leipzig was allegedly satisfied by the Reds.
After reaching an agreement and passing a physical exam, the Hungary midfielder joins Alexis Mac Allister as the Reds' second new signing of the summer transfer season.

Szoboszlai spent the last two and a half seasons with Leipzig in the Bundesliga, where he made 91 appearances across all competitions. He now joins Liverpool.
Szoboszlai will don jersey number 8, which belonged to Naby Keita, who departed the team last season on a free transfer, according to Liverpool.
Due to his admiration for Liverpool icon Steven Gerard, who wore jersey number 8, the gifted midfielder chose that number for his uniform.
Szoboszlai made 91 appearances, with 20 goals and 22 assists across all leagues, and helped the Bundesliga club win back-to-back DFB-Pokals in 2022 and 2023.
He debuted in March 2019 against Slovakia and has since earned 32 caps and seven goals for Hungary.
