Man City's João Cancelo pictured in training on first day despite exit rumour

Manchester City began pre-season training this week, with the majority of the first-team players reported to be returning at the City Football Academy.

Despite suspicions of his departure from Manchester City, Joao Cancelo was seen in training on the first day. 

The Portuguese departed Etihad Stadium in January after falling out of favor with Pep Guardiola. 

Joao Cancelo seemed to have played his final match for the club in January, departing on loan to Bayern Munich after falling below the pecking order. Bayern chose not to exercise the option to acquire Cancelo on a permanent basis, thus he remains a City player and returned to the club this week.

Cancelo might still depart, however he was spotted during testing and on the field with his colleagues. He has being named to the pre-season squad on Wednesday.

If he is unable to find a new club, he might meet previous loan club Bayern Munich this week in Tokyo.
