Man City's Mateo Kovacic pictured speaking to Pep Guardiola on first day in training

Mateo Kovacic was sighted at Manchester City training for the first time since joining the club.

 Mateo Kovacic's first day at the squad, where he met his new colleagues and coach after joining for £25 million from Chelsea. 

Pep Guardiola replaced Ilkay Gundogan, who departed on a free transfer for Barcelona, with the Croatian international. 

Kovacic was spotted introducing himself to his new colleagues before heading out to the practice field and participating in team exercises.

During a break, Kovacic was taken aside by manager Pep Guardiola for a short period of time as he explained something to the Croatian. 

Kovacic will make his weekend debut for Manchester City when they play Yokohama in Tokyo on Sunday.
