Mason Mount, a recent addition to Manchester United, will don the No. 7 shirt at Old Trafford, the team has announced.
This morning, Mason Mount made his official debut for Manchester United, saying he "can't wait" to compete for big trophies with his new team.
Last week, when they completed a transfer deal with Chelsea for Mount, United finally made the progress they had been hoping for. Erik ten Hag's top midfield target had three offers turned down, but a deal was reached with a fixed £55 million cost and the possibility of a further £5 million in add-ons.
Mount finished his medical exam on Monday, signed a five-year deal, and returned to Carrington on Tuesday for his unveiling picture session.
The first player since Cristiano Ronaldo departed the team in November of last year to wear that squad number is an English midfielder.
