Al-Khelaifi praised Messi at a news conference on Wednesday in France, calling the former Barcelona captain brilliant.
Messi moved to PSG two years ago from Barcelona as a free agent.
The Argentinean player signed with MLS team Inter Miami after leaving the Parc des Princes team.
If you remember, during his time in France, Lionel Messi played for PSG and won the Ligue 1 championship twice in a row.
Al-Khelaifi said, “I want to thank [Lionel] Messi, the greatest player in the world, for what he has done for us.
“He was magnificent. The two years were wonderful.”
