Reece James, a defender for Chelsea, has shared his thoughts on why his side struggled last year.
Due to several poor performances, Chelsea ended 12th in the Premier League standings last season without taking home any hardware.
After three new managers in one season, the Blues were unable to achieve stability.
James has now disclosed the causes of Chelsea's dismal performance in the previous season.
The England player blamed some of the players, who seemed to have one foot already out the door.
“It is going to be a tough season. Last season was the toughest I have experienced,” James said at a press conference (as quoted by The Chelsea Chronicle).
“We are moving in the right direction, it was very difficult last season because there was lots of change, some players did not want to be there because they were not playing,” he added.
