As soon as Roberto Firmino touched down in Saudi Arabia, he was encircled by a group of ecstatic supporters.
A number of well-known players have recently moved from Europe to the Middle East, including Firmino, who signed for Saudi Arabia's Al-Ahli on a free transfer when his Liverpool contract expired.
In his eight years with the club, the 31-year-old departed Liverpool with five major trophies, and the fans at Anfield gave him an emotional send-off.
Edouard Mendy, a former Chelsea goalie, will be his teammate at Al-Ahli after joining the Saudi Professional League outfit last month.
